Kimmel Center, Day 90
This is the ceiling of the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. It was constructed in the shape of a cello. It's a great place to see a concert!

Melodic Teapot - Not, Day 89
I was originally drawn to purchasing this teapot about six years ago, in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, because it was advertised as a "melodic" pot that would emit a wonderful whistle when the water reached boiling temperature. Guess what - it makes no sound whatsoever. However, the strawberry design has redeemed it. It gets used every single day, sometimes 3-4 times, of the year!
Robert, this post's for you!

Hail, Hail The Gang's All Here, Day 87 and 88
We had warm temperatures today, around 70, so the neighborhood was abuzz with kids out playing, people doing yard work, and friends sitting on porches chatting. It was a really nice day. After dinner, hubby and I took the dog for a walk and as we headed out I noted that it was very "yellow" outside. It is just about 1 full mile to go around our block and as we approached home, it was just plain very yellow outside and then I heard the sound of stuff hitting the ground - just as we reached the foot of the driveway. The kids were in our yard throwing a frisbee around when I shouted to get inside - all of us (including our furry child) managed to get inside without once getting hit with this......
Also included in this post is a photo of one of my favorite birthday gifts - my own Keurig 1 cup coffee maker - I can have coffee any time of day, in under 3 minutes, with virtually no cleanup! You must get one of these now!!!

Graceful Grass, Day 84
I took my camera on my walk tonight around the block. The house almost directly behind me has a huge bunch of this wheaty looking grass growing. I stop and look at it almost every time I take my walk. It fascinates me, so much so that two summers ago I purchased what I thought was the same thing. Unfortunately, what I bought is nothing like this.
I'd love to know what it is. It is just elegant looking to me.

Looking For The Man In The Moon, Day 83
but I didn't see him, even with my zoom lens...bummer.
I've always been fascinated with celestial bodies and what amazed me about taking pictures of the moon for my class in the DSLR last summer was that I could see the craters without using a telescope. I spent about 2 hours outside just watching the moon and snapping away.

Catching Up, AGAIN, Day 81 and 82
Some St. Patrick's Day party feet are featured here. I noticed the variety of socks at one point during the evening when everyone had kicked off their shoes to dance. My foot is the striped one. Two ungreen people barged in at the last second. I'll have to learn to alter colors in Photoshop.....
My birthday celebration continues. My friends surprised me with a Sunday brunch and fifty pink roses. It was WONDERFUL! They also remembered I didn't have a punch bowl (because at Christmas time I sent out an SOS email asking if anyone had one that I could borrow) so they gave me a gorgeous crystal punch bowl that, conveniently, I could use for the big bash they were all invited to!

Good Luck, Good Fortune, Day 76
My husband took a couple dozen homemade Irish potatoes into work today and came home with several Irish fortune cookies from a fellow worker at his office. They were very, very tasty, very, very green, and my fortune read, "You will have the luck O' the Irish today".
Who would have thought the Chinese would go to such trouble to celebrate this holiday? I think it's pretty cool!

Combo, Day 74 and 75
I fell a bit behind. The photos were on my memory card but the card was MIA for a day. So, you're getting a double dose of my photo for today and for yesterday.
I reunited with my pastel set after a 17 year separation - the first step towards maybe picking them up and trying to draw again.
It may seem silly to some, but when you have an 11 year-old pup who has cancer, you take every photo op you can get and with Freckles and his days of endless laying around and sleeping, the opportunities are abundant. I'm calling this particular photo "Nose of Leather".

Doubling Up Today, Day 73
I will be doing two photo posts today as yesterday, for the first time since I started this blog, I didn't get a chance to post.
I took this of my son after he got his top braces off. Next week, the bottom braces come off.
Not a very exciting picture for most but after shelling out $4200 for those pearly whites, I'm kinda glad to see them lined up neatly.

Ever Feel Like This?, Day 71
I'm having one of those weeks - constant interruption and not getting anything done. Hoping this feeling will end soon but my head feels like it is going to explode out the top.
I want to visit my blogging friends' blogs and haven't had the time - Please don't forget about me! Hopefully, this vision of me will be permanently etched in your minds.

Would You Even Dare, Day 64
Imagine being suspended like this 210 feet in the air. If you care to try, be sure to ride the Griffin in Williamsburg, VA. My kids rode this, although they had chickened out the day I brought my camera. Click on the image to see the expressions on the faces a bit closer!
Glad I was on the ground with my two feet planted and my Canon 75-300 lens firmly affixed to my camera! I was so pleased with the zoom on this one!
