Graceful Grass, Day 84

I took my camera on my walk tonight around the block. The house almost directly behind me has a huge bunch of this wheaty looking grass growing. I stop and look at it almost every time I take my walk. It fascinates me, so much so that two summers ago I purchased what I thought was the same thing. Unfortunately, what I bought is nothing like this.

I'd love to know what it is. It is just elegant looking to me.

Nice photo! You could cut off a piece of it and take it to the garden center, so you'll end up with the same stuff, or you could ask your neighbor what it is! :) I've noticed several varieties of ornamental grasses throughout my neighborhood.

This is really cool looking grass... unfortunately, it appears that none of us knows what it is. :-( I agree with Christina, cut off a bunch and take it to the local garden center, and they may be able to help you.

Wonderful photo, love the depth of field!

I think I will have to cut a sample. I spent an hour looking online last night for something similar but had absolutely no luck. Not sure what the owners will think if they see me taking a snip....
