Good Luck, Good Fortune, Day 76

My husband took a couple dozen homemade Irish potatoes into work today and came home with several Irish fortune cookies from a fellow worker at his office. They were very, very tasty, very, very green, and my fortune read, "You will have the luck O' the Irish today".

Who would have thought the Chinese would go to such trouble to celebrate this holiday? I think it's pretty cool!

That is a GREEN fortune cookie! Great fortune!

BTW, if you dine at a Chinese restaurant in Houston's Chinatown, you will not get a fortune cookie.

In American culture, yes . . . as I understand, it's not a Chinese thing.

My husband and I both wore green yesterday for St. Patrick's Day. I'll have to try your recipe for Irish potatoes! :) Some of our dinner last night was green in color ~ brussels sprouts and a spinach/mandarin orange salad.
