Melodic Teapot - Not, Day 89

I was originally drawn to purchasing this teapot about six years ago, in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, because it was advertised as a "melodic" pot that would emit a wonderful whistle when the water reached boiling temperature. Guess what - it makes no sound whatsoever. However, the strawberry design has redeemed it. It gets used every single day, sometimes 3-4 times, of the year!

Robert, this post's for you!

Oh, this teapot's color so bright, give up the enjoyment of vision. Too beautiful. :)

Here is a very English comment . . . it's just that I would call this a kettle and, to me, a teapot is the thing you put the tea in. So if your kettle is a teapot, what do you call what I'd call the teapot . . . if you see what I mean? (!)

Red kettles / tea-pots seem to be in photographic fashion at present. Wish I had one!

Great color. Love the strawberry design. I don't even own a tea pot/kettle, so I can't take a picture of one :-(
Great photo, Dot!!
Oh yeah....I went to our local garden decoration store looking for the little garden character you were looking for and no luck :-( She said she would look around in some catalogs and see if she can find something similar and let me know.

Thanks Sara! I have a feeling they just weren't a big hit when they first came out, although I owned three or four of them, and they just sort of fizzled.

Thanks so much for checking into it for me.

What a lovely teapot, er um, kettle. Or whatever it should be called. :) I love the pink glow of the burner underneath the pot. Wonderful photo! And I love the Outer Banks, many memories of fun family trips when I was a child!
