Freshly Photographed Moon, Day 95

I just shot the moon within the last half-hour using the monopod I got for Christmas! I never tire of photographing it, at least not yet.

Great shot - do you do anything special to take the picture? My moon shots [so far] have been duds...

BentonFlocke and Robert - I use my 75-300 mm lens zoomed all the way in. I set my ISO at 800 and shot in P mode. Like I said, I used a monopod to steady the camera.

I find that if I get a good clear view of the moon during daylight hours, the photos come out clearer than if I wait until dark. This photograph was shot at about 7:30 PM last evening.

I hope that helps!
